Life coaching involves the practice of mentoring/coaching clients through lifestyle changes to better their quality of life and reach their fitness goals. Behavior modifications, goal setting, positive thinking and healthy practices all come into play. It is very important to make these adjustments in order to be successful. If you are one to constantly make excuses for why certain things cannot be done, regularly show up late to your appointments, continue to eat poorly and not exercise - then I will not be able to help you. You need to be open minded and be willing to make changes in order to achieve the desired results.
Time management issues, emotional eating, procrastinating and general pessimism are notions we'll work on together. Generally, when someone hires a trainer they are already making steps in the right direction, but this isn't always the case. If you truly want to change your mind, body and spirit, then you must be willing to put in the necessary work.
As a life coach, I have worked with every kind of personality there is. I've guided people to begin an exercise program to lose weight, get stronger and generally more healthy. Many of these clients never having exercised before. I have also worked with clients and gotten them to stop drinking alcohol and quit smoking cigarettes when it was a major catalyst in their lives. I've worked with teenagers to elders and always give my all to help them achieve their best. Life coaching is a very important piece of the puzzle but is not always needed.
I never give up on a client. We may laugh, argue or cry but at the end of the day, always know that the reason for it is because I truly care.
